Dr. Hamid Reza Ghanavi

I am Hamid, originally from Iran. I did all my under-graduate studies in Spain before moving to Sweden where I obtained my PhD degree at Lund University. During my studies I worked with different organisms such as fishes, dogs, crabs, humans, and insects to name a few examples. My focus has always been the evolutionary history of different groups mainly using genetic data. I have used both population genetics and phylogenetic approaches to deal with these questions. During my PhD I focused on the diversification processes shaping their actual diversity using genomic data. At present I am a nGICE postdoctoral researcher at Lund University, working under the supervision of Dr. Marcus Stensmyr (LU), Dr. Christer Löfstedt (LU), Dr. Jadranka Rota (LU), Dr. Niklas Wahlberg (LU), Dr. Bill S.
