Curriculum Vitae
I am Cassie from the United Kingdom, where I undertook my BSc in Biology & Chemistry at Keele University, followed by a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Nottingham and Rothamsted Research. My PhD focused on understanding insect olfaction in the pea aphid, Acyrthosiphon pisum, mainly through investigation of the role of odorant-binding proteins (OBPs) in sex pheromone perception. After finishing my PhD in 2020, I joined nGICE as a Postdoc working with Dr. Christer Löfstedt (Lund University) and Dr. Mats Sandgren (SLU). My project focuses on investigating the structure and function of insect odorant receptors and it is titled:
How do insect odorant receptors cope with anthropogenic change?
