I am Pal Mahadevan Venkatesh from India. I have done M.Sc.-M.Tech in biotechnology from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) where I worked on understanding host-seeking behavior of Aedes aegypti using olfactometer assay and field traps for my dissertation projects. Currently, I am a doctoral researcher at the Department of Evolutionary Neuroethology at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology (MPI-CE, Jena) under the supervision of Dr. Bill S. Hansson (MPI), Dr. Markus Knaden (MPI) and Dr. Marcus Stensmyr (LU). I will be investigating the neuroecology of Drosophila virilis and Drosophila busckii in a project titled:
